Five-day Ashtanga Yoga Retreat
at Uma Ubud, Bali, April 2008

In a tranquil environment far removed from the rigours of every day life, Peers will help students focus on their personal Ashtanga Yoga practice.

Each morning will start with pranayama followed by the complete Ashtanga primary series. Modifications for beginners and those having difficulty with specific poses will make this retreat suitable and challenging for all levels. Afternoon sessions will developComo Shambala Spa individual asanas focusing on correct body positioning, breath and uddiyana bhanda (a diaphragm lock) finishing with a guided meditation.

Peers has been practicing Yoga since 1993. He has studied with prominent teachers from around the world including Sri Pattabhi Jois and Rodney Yee. He completed a three-year teacher-training program with Simon Borg-Oliver and Bianca Machliss at Yoga Synergy in Sydney, Australia. He has also undergone teacher training in Vinnie Yoga with Sri Desikachar at KYM in India and Asthanga Vinyasa with Tim Miller in California.
