Taksu Yoga - Ubud, Bali

Imagine stepping into a peaceful sanctuary where natural stone steps make their way down the side of a cool ravine, verdant vines hang from the rock face and gently bubbling water snakes its way past open-air pavilions and into the jungle. Welcome to Taksu Yoga, a sanctuary for movement arts set in a natural environment far from the hustle and bustle of Ubud’s main streets.

Classes at Taksu include Hatha Flow, Relaxation Yoga, Pranayama and Meditation, and Yoga for Everybody 1 and 2. Yoga for Everybody 1 is a basic introduction to yoga postures, or asanas, and it is ideal for beginners or those who have not practiced in a while. Yoga for Everybody 2 is a more vigorous workout, and better suited to experienced yoga practitioners and those looking to deepen their asana practice. All the teachers at Taksu are Yoga Alliance certified, and have a great deal of experience teaching people of all ages. In addition, class sizes are small and personalized, so you get the attention you need to progress.

Taksu also offers 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher training courses for those who want to take their practice to the next level. Courses include a healthy breakfast on class days, two massages or treatments from the Taksu Spa, instruction on yoga philosophy, anatomy and physiology, teaching skills, prop usage, yogic lifestyle and diet and advice about how to establish your own yoga practice. Upon completion of the training course, teachers can register with Yoga Alliance to earn their Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) certification. There are also weekly and monthly workshops that focus on yoga, meditation, pranayama, dance and spiritual growth.
