Who doesn’t want a rocking body with firm toned
muscles, a powerful core and better posture? Pilates builds strength and
balance by using your own body weight as resistance, and it improves
your alignment so you look and feel healthy and strong. Ubud Pilates is a
small secluded boutique pilates studio tucked away in quiet Penestanan
and run by Swedish-born Asa. Professional and patient, Asa helps people
of all ages with full body workouts that trim, tone and improve your
overall health and well-being.
Asa has always made exercise an integral part of her
life and as such, she holds various fitness certifications, including a
Certificate IV in Pilates Mat Work, Certificate III as a Group Fitness
Instructor, and a qualification for teaching Indoor Cycling. She has
trained all around the world, including the UK, Australia and the
Philippines, and she gets rave reviews for her thorough assessments, fun
classes and proven results.
The group classes at Ubud Pilates range from complete
basics for beginners to advanced classes that push you to excel and
progress farther than you ever thought you could. Asa offers various
time slots throughout the day to fit in with a wide range of schedules,
and each class includes a mix of mat work, weights and props, depending
on your needs. She also offers semi-private and private classes for
newbies to and students with injuries or problem areas. This way, you
get the one-on-one attention you need to develop your practice safely
and effectively.
Hidden away in Penestanan, our boutique studio provides an intimate, private and unique space. A secluded sanctuary for your mind, your body and your spirit.
Mind
From your first session, you will begin programming your mind to connect with your body.
Over time, you will develop a new awareness of your body structure, your muscles, and how they work together during movement.
Most importantly, you will learn how to apply this awareness away from the studio in your day-to-day life.
Body.
Pilates is a full body workout that tones, strengthens and lengthens your muscles without building bulk.
Muscles that have been tight become more flexible, areas that are restricted become mobile and your posture will improve. In short, you will attain a strong, flexible and balanced body.
Spirit
Joseph Pilates named mind, body and spirit as his core tenants. To achieve a true state of mind- body connection you must be completely present, in the moment, or “mindful” for the Zen amongst us.
As such, Pilates can be a form of meditation, at a time when your body’s energy flow is increasing through proper alignment. It’s powerful. It elevates you.
