Feng Shui

Feng shui is the ancient Chinese art of placement. Have you ever walked into a room and felt so uneasy that you just had to get out of there? Or the opposite, felt so comfortable that you could move right in? Then you have experienced the effects of feng shui.

Each day you go out into the world to achieve and accomplish your daily goals and tasks. However, each day you also run into many obstacles and challenges that make it difficult to achieve those goals. A broken water pipe that occurs just as you rush out late for work is just one example of just such an obstacle.

However regardless of the problem, you rise to the challenge and overcome the obstacle. This is because you have achieved good feng shui. This complimentary therapy helps you to cope with disaster and to overcome problems. You will be able to deal with each problem as it arises without frustration, all because you have created good chi.

Feng shui is an art developed by ancient Chinese philosophers about how the arrangement of your environment affects your energy or “chi”. It is based on the belief that the arrangement of furniture, the hanging of pictures, or a leaky faucet as examples, may actually affect the energy in that particular space and ultimately affect one’s Chi or “life energy”. The main principle behind feng shui is to live in peace and harmony with your environment in a way that your environment works in your favor, not against you.

The ultimate goal of feng shui is to achieve good chi. Feng shui works by showing you the elements in your environment that have bad energy and teaching you how to fix them. It shows you how to add good energy into your space, whether at home or at the office, and thus you are adding energy to your own life. Finally, feng shui teaches you how to direct this new energy to help you achieve your dreams and goals.

One of the easiest ways to achieve good feng shui in your home is through the arrangement of furniture. Good chi is created when furniture is arranged in a way that fosters good energy flow. Another common item used in the home to create good feng shui is mirrors. Mirrors bring things together while reflecting and attracting energy.
The use of the right colors in the room can also achieve good chi.

Many people in Western culture have lost their connection with their environment which can cause emotional, physical, and spiritual illness. Feng shui offers a way to reconnect with our environment, to recreate our balance and good fortune.
